LEVEL THE FIELD is a digital tribute to the trailblazers of the Women's World Cup, shedding light on groundbreaking yet often overlooked moments in history. The project aims to bring audiences closer to these revolutionary events by presenting them in a clear, concise, and visually engaging way.
The website highlights three key milestones in the early evolution of the tournament: the unofficial 1971 World Cup in Mexico, the first FIFA-organized edition in 1991, and the iconic 1999 tournament, where the U.S. team left a lasting mark as one of the first major media successes in women’s football.
Designed and developed from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with clarity and impact in mind, the platform blends storytelling with memorable imagery. Structured as a dynamic timeline, it guides visitors through the evolution of the tournament, culminating in a comprehensive archive of all the champions to date.
